Safety First – Read Before Every Use YUYU bottle
WARNING: Hot water bottles can be dangerous if misused.
About Your YUYU Bottle
- Made from premium Sri Lankan natural rubber – the global gold standard.
- Manufactured to British Standard BS 1970:2012 – the highest safety benchmark.
- Natural rubber degrades over time. Replace after 2 years of use (warranty period).
- Unused bottles can be stored for years if kept cool, dry, and away from sunlight.
- Once in use, record the start date and inspect regularly.
Pre-Use Safety Check
Before every use, inspect for:
- Cracks, scratches, or thinning
- Stretching or sticky areas
- Discolouration or weak spots
If in doubt, replace it.
Filling Instructions
- Warming (First 2 Years of Use)
- Never use boiling water. Boil kettle, then let cool until no steam or bubbles.
- Hold bottle upright by the neck.
- Fill to max ⅔ capacity.
- Gently lower neck to expel air, then secure stopper finger-tight.
- Warming (After 2 Years)
- Kettle water is unsafe.
- Use hot tap water only – max 55°C.
- Follow steps above.
- Cooling (Ice Recovery)
- Fill ½ to ¾ with cold tap water (leave room for expansion).
- Expel air, secure stopper finger-tight.
- Freeze 3–5 hours until slushy.
- Always use cover before applying.
Burn Risk Warning
- Water above 55°C can burn skin in seconds.
- Always use a cover – no direct skin contact.
- In Australia, thousands are treated annually for hot water bottle burns.

- No boiling water
- After 2 years → hot tap water only

- Never sit or lie on it
