It All Began in 2001

I left the shores of Australia to head to England, chasing my dream of playing cricket. Little did I know what adventures lay ahead...

I landed with a team in South London, in the stunning Surrey countryside. I called it home for four years and struck up a lifelong friendship with the one and only Richard Yu. Together, we embarked on unforgettable trips to every corner of the globe.

But back in London during those brutal, cold winters, we lived in a nice flat that was, in my words, bloody freezing. We tried the standard square hot water bottles, but they were average at best. Then, one day, I picked Richard up from the airport. He hopped in the car and declared, "I've got it…..a long hot water bottle!"

I was skeptical at first, but by the time we pulled up to our flat, we'd sketched it out, prototyped a rough version, and knew the world would love it. 

After months of late nights, the world's first long hot water bottle was born. Since then, Richard has poured his heart into crafting incredible YUYU products shipped across Europe. It's even on the shelves of Harrods for over a decade...

Now, Richard's done it again. He's created the ultimate cooling essential: the YUYU ICE Recovery Bottle. Elite athletes swear by it from Formula 1 drivers and England national teams to Olympians battling the heat in Paris.

That's why I'm so proud to launch YUYU Australia. Our elite sports stars deserve this game changer, but with Australia's scorching summers, we all deserve it!!
